Welcome to beautiful Alberta! Home to over 4.4 million people spread out across 264 urban municipalities. That’s over 661,848 square kilometres of 18 cities, 108 towns, 87 villages, 51 summer villages, and 600 lakes. 

Alberta is the sunniest province in Canada, with over 1,900 hours of sunshine in the north, and 2,300 in the south! Just enough for you to explore some of the most beautiful provincial parks in the province. These parks include Banff National Park, Jasper National Park, Waterton Lakes National Park, and the Bow Valley National Park. While you’re at it, enjoy the beautiful Rocky Mountains, with their dense forests and tall peaks. 

The province hosts world-renowned events like the Calgary Stampede Rodeo which happens in July every year. There is also the Edmonton Spark Festival, the Big Valley Jamboree, and a number of different folk and music festivals across the province. In the winter, witness festivals during the season such as the Zoo Lights in Calgary, or the Airdrie Festival of Lights with friends and family.

Alberta has an amazing education program from Kindergarten to Grade 12 to post-secondary education. We are also home to amazing institutes like the University of Alberta, one of the top 5 universities in Canada along with the University of Calgary.
