Edmonton Neighbourhood Associations

Ever think about what makes a neighbourhood tick? It’s not just the houses or the streets. It’s the HOAs and Community Leagues here in Edmonton.

They’re like the neighbourhood’s kitchen table. Everyone gathers around, sharing news and solving problems together. It’s where you’re missed if you don’t show up.

These groups ensure everyone has a spot at the table, a chance to be heard, and a way to pitch in. That’s how strangers become neighbours, and neighbourhoods become communities.

It’s about chipping in, showing up, and knowing you’re part of something bigger.

Edmonton neighbourhood associations are:

  • Summerside HOA
  • Upper Windermere HOA
  • Ambleside HOA
  • The Orchards HOA
  • Wedgewood HOA

We’ll dive deeper into these associations in the following sections.

Homeowner Associations (HOAs) in Edmonton

Edmonton is not just about the stunning river valley and vibrant festivals; it’s also about the communities we build and live in. Our Homeowner Associations (HOAs) play a significant role in this.

They foster not just beautiful neighbourhoods but also a strong sense of community. Let’s explore some of these HOAs in more detail:

1. Summerside HOA

Owning a home means automatic membership in the Summerside Residents Association. Think of it as your ticket to lakeside living with year-round activities.

The community revolves around Lake Summerside, offering boating in the summer and ice skating in the winter.

The annual fees for 2023 were set at:

  • Standard Lots: $432.25
  • Lake Access Lots: $605.18
  • Lakefront Properties: $1037.37

These fees contribute to maintaining this vibrant community. A Board of Directors, including Brookfield Residential and resident representatives, runs it.

New homeowners must register with the association and provide proof of residence and a photo ID. This helps maintain the community’s security and exclusivity.

2. Upper Windermere HOA

Upper Windermere takes community living up a notch with its private leisure center. Residents enjoy a heated pool, tennis/basketball court, and an outdoor ice rink.

4. The Orchards HOA

This HOA is a community designed to provide a rich quality of life through its numerous amenities and community activities.

At the heart of the neighbourhood is the Club House, which is an extension of the residents’ homes. Community members can enjoy a splash park, tennis courts, and a rink for skating, among other facilities.

The Club House serves as a hub for seasonal and monthly events. These aim to foster a sense of community and create lasting memories among neighbours.
